"High quality" is easy to say and hard to prove. So here's the actual science — how we choose every dose and form, how we test it, and the human research behind each ingredient.

THE SCIENCE

The supplement aisle is built on looking complete

Most supplements are formulated for the label, not the body. Three habits are everywhere — none illegal, most useless.

Trace doses

Just enough of an ingredient to print it on the label — far below the amount that did anything in a study.

See Our Foundation Science

Proprietary blends

One "blend" number hides how little of each active is inside. You can't dose what you can't see.

Borrowed benefits

"Contains ingredients shown to…" — claims lifted from studies on a dose the product doesn't actually contain.

Three principles

The science behind every formula

Doses that match the research

We start from the trial, not the label. We find the dose that actually moved the outcome, then formulate to it — at a level people can feel, not a label padded to look impressive.

Why it matters

In a randomized trial of 202 adults, a saffron extract dosed at 28 mg daily improved mood measures within five weeks — well above the pinch of saffron most "mood" blends contain. We use the studied dose, or we don't use the ingredient. (Lopresti et al., 2025, The Journal of Nutrition)

Ingredients chosen to work together

A formula isn't a pile of actives — it's a system where each part covers another's edge. Our caffeine-free focus formula, Go Time, is the clearest example.

How Go Time works

L-tyrosine feeds the neurotransmitters that keep focus steady under pressure, but fades fast alone. L-theanine smooths the edge off stimulation, and CDP-choline feeds a pathway tyrosine doesn't touch. Three actives, three jobs, one steady effect.

The details that decide whether it works

The difference between a formula that works and one that just sounds right is usually chemical form — something a label rarely explains.

Why form matters

We use methylcobalamin B12, not cyanocobalamin — the form your body already uses. Magnesium is bound to glycinate for steady absorption. Every mineral is chelated to a form with published absorption data, never just "elemental."

Quality

Tested like it matters

The FDA regulates supplements, but doesn't routinely test what's actually in the bottle. So we do — and we don't hide the numbers.

Pill

Independent third-party testing

Every formula is verified by an outside lab — not just our word — for identity and potency.

Screened for heavy metals & contaminants

Every batch is checked for heavy metals and microbial contaminants before it ships.

A Certificate of Analysis per batch

Each production batch gets its own COA, so what's on the label is what's in the capsule.

No proprietary blends

Every ingredient and its exact dose is printed on the label. Nothing hidden behind a "blend."

Our Formula

Formulated by a longevity physician

Every Mos formula is developed by Dr Oliver Zolman — a Cambridge-trained physician specialising in longevity medicine. With behavioural design guided by BJ Fogg, PhD, the Stanford researcher who created Tiny Habits.

THE LINE

Every formula, and the science inside it

Seven products, each formulated for a specific moment in your day — three you take daily, four you reach for when you need them.

Daily Foundation

MORNING

Core Essentials

Your daily micronutrient base — one capsule.

Fourteen vitamins and minerals to fill the gaps a good diet still leaves — complete, not crowded, with no fairy-dust doses.

Built on bioavailable forms: methylated B12 and folate (5-MTHF) stay active even with the common MTHFR variant; zinc and chromium are chelated (picolinate) for absorption.

Methyl-B12, 5-MTHF folate (Quatrefolic®), full B-complex, vitamin C, zinc picolinate, selenium, chromium, iodine & more

WITH A MEAL

Lasting Resilience

Omega-3s + fat-soluble vitamins, for the long game.

Concentrated EPA & DHA for mood, heart health and a healthy inflammatory response — with vitamins A, D, E and K dissolved in the fish oil so they absorb properly.

Across 70 randomized trials, EPA+DHA lowered depressive symptoms most strongly in people already low in omega-3s. (Miller et al., 2014)

EPA 1 g + DHA 0.5 g, vitamin D3, K1 & K2, vitamin A, vitamin E (mixed tocopherols). Miller 2014 (70 RCTs); Grosso 2014.

BEFORE BED

Deep Rest

Fall asleep sooner, wake without the fog.

A prolonged-release nightly formula that works with your sleep architecture: a melatonin micro-dose to cue onset, magnesium and L-theanine to quiet the nervous system, lemon balm for a racing mind.

A meta-analysis of 19 trials found melatonin shortens time-to-sleep and improves sleep quality; small trials suggest magnesium can shorten time-to-fall-asleep (~17 minutes). The micro-dose is deliberate — enough to signal, not enough to leave you groggy.

Melatonin 0.75 mg (prolonged-release), magnesium glycinate (200 mg elemental), L-theanine 400 mg, lemon balm 400 mg. Ferracioli-Oda 2013; Mah & Pitre 2021.

On-Demand

CAFFEINE-FREE

Go Time

Sustained focus for deep work — no jitters, no crash.

Our nootropic for cognitively demanding hours. Take it ~30 minutes before a focus block for steady, controlled output.

Tyrosine restocks dopamine/noradrenaline under stress; citicoline improved memory in a 100-person RCT of healthy older adults; theacrine and methylliberine are caffeine-free purine alkaloids that act on the same adenosine pathway as caffeine; L-theanine keeps it calm.

L-tyrosine 1 g, CDP-choline 250 mg, L-theanine 200 mg, TeaCrine® 125 mg, methylliberine 50 mg. Jongkees 2015; Nakazaki 2021; Bello 2019; Cintineo 2022.

~25 MIN ONSET

Chill Out

Composure under pressure — calm, but still sharp.

For the high-stakes moments. Settles the stress response without the drowsiness of a sedative.

Saffron at 28 mg/day improved mood and stress in a 128-person RCT (a 22 mg dose didn't); L-theanine raises alpha-wave activity for calm, focused alertness; GABA, holy basil and lemon balm round out the stress response.

Saffron (affron®) 28 mg, L-theanine 200 mg, holy basil 250 mg, lemon balm 300 mg, GABA 200 mg. Kell 2017; Hidese 2019.

BEFORE CARBS

No Crash

Smooth out the post-meal slump

Take it ~15 minutes before a carb-heavy meal to support a healthy glucose response and steadier energy after you eat.

Berberine activates AMPK, the cell's metabolic master-switch; across 46 RCTs it lowered HbA1c, fasting and post-meal glucose. Cinnamon added a further reduction in fasting glucose across 11 pooled meta-analyses; chromium supports insulin signalling.

Berberine HCl 500 mg, Ceylon cinnamon 600 mg, ginger 600 mg, chromium picolinate 400 mcg. Guo 2021 (46 RCTs); Zarezadeh 2023.

FIRST 72 HRS

Stay Well

Targeted immune support — not a daily multivitamin.

For that first tickle in your throat: a short, high-potency course you run for a few days, then stop.

Across 28 trials, zinc shortened colds by roughly two days; vitamin C (≥1 g/day) cut cold severity ~15%; elderberry halved cold duration in a 312-person travel RCT. Three pathways, not one ingredient.

Zinc 30 mg, vitamin C 700 mg ×3/day, black elderberry, andrographis, stabilized garlic. Up to 5 days. Hunter 2021; Hemilä 2023; Tiralongo 2016.

Beyond the formula

A great formula is only half the science

The other half is matching it to you. Mos pairs these formulas with your goals, your routine, and — soon — your bloodwork and wearable data, so you take the right product, at the right dose, at the right moment. The science of the formula, delivered into your real day.
